This video shows children and early adolescents in classroom and home situations both struggling and succeeding with mathematics assignments. It explores the common problems that many students face when learning mathematics, as well as practical strategies that teachers and parents can use to help children think with numbers. Viewers will gain insights into these challenges and how they relate to breakdowns in the neurodevelopmental functions of memory, language, attention and temporal-sequential ordering, as well as spatial ordering and higher order cognition.
